Hot days can be hard not only on your general well-being but also on your skin and hair. Long hair in particular is at a disadvantage. Here are some summer hairstyles, which are not only comfortable but also dazzling!
Comfortable updos for Hot Weather
As we know today, neck-covering updos are the most flattering summer hairstyle. This way, the hair does not break a sweat and does not interfere with everyday activities such as sticking to face cream or getting wet in the pool. However, not everybody likes simple ponytails or buns. Here are some ideas for summer hairstyles:
The Different Ponytail
Brush your hair thoroughly and pull it back. Secure the ponytail with an elastic band, preferably silk, which does not damage the hair structure. Create a ponytail and fold your hair in half to make a loop. The next step is to place the rubber band over the ponytail. Wrap the remaining hair around the ponytail to hide the rubber band.
The ponytail is slightly disheveled and looks very loose. If desired, you may additionally secure these loose ends with hair pins the same color as your hair. You may like to vary the style by tucking in two thicker strands of hair on the sides and gently waving them. This adds extra style to your updo.
The Summer Braid
Move the parting closer to your ear. On the side with more hair, a section of hair is separated at the front. Separate three more strands of hair from the side of your face and French braid them, taking one strand from each side. Braid all the way to the ear. Once the braid is finished, it should be secured behind the ear with a hair slide the same color as the braid hair. These braids usually work well with bobby pins as they help loosen unruly strands of hair and keep them in place.
On the other hand, you may also create a French braid in front of your face and secure it behind your ear. The hair in the back should be pinned back to keep it out of the updo. The braid can be parted, separated into two parts or styled like an Alice band from one ear to the other. The rest of the hair is gathered into a ponytail, preferably low on one side. You may like to curl the remaining hair for more effect.
The Perfect Hairstyle for the Beach
To create this ponytail you need small scrunchies, preferably coloured or with the same color as your hair. Use a fine-toothed comb and an additional spike to separate individual strands of hair starting close to the parting. Secure these individual strands with an elastic band in the back. Secure all individual strands in the same way. It is important that the strands are not too thick. Leave the rest of your hair loose or gather it into a ponytail. This hairstyle is sure to look stunning and may stay in place for a few days.
The Bandanna updo
Create a parting in your open hair and comb it thoroughly. The folded bandana should be tied around your head with a knot in the back. Starting at the front, tuck your hair behind the bandana from above. This creates a sort of garland. Starting at the back, tie the remaining hair into a ponytail and pull it not completely through the bandana to make a bun. Use bobby pins to secure the remaining hair. It is advisable to fix the hairstyle with hairspray.
